Mining spatial object of the new billionaires from Google

Two billionaires at Google, famous director James Cameron, a former astronaut and former head of Microsoft's software will join forces to launch a new company, Planetary Resources, which aims to mine asteroids.

The company will unveil its intentions in a press conference which will take place on Tuesday at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

Planetary Resources will have two objectives: natural resources and mining, space exploration, followed by selling the materials extracted from asteroids to obtain huge profits, while adding trillions of dollars to the planetary GDP.

Huge amount of valuable resources such as platinum, which is found in asteroids could be a solution to the crisis of resources, which in recent years has led to high inflation and conflicts between countries.

One of the contractors involved in the new project is Peter Diamandis, known for the Ansari X-Prize competition, which honors the most successful space projects.

In an interview with Forbes magazine, Diamandis said "The Earth is a crumb in a supermarket located resource. Now we finally have the technology that allows us to extract resources outside the Earth for the benefit of humanity, not to violate and destroy the planet. "

Planetary Resources Investors in the company include Ross Perot JR., Son of former presidential candidate, Larry Page and Eric Schmidt (Google), director James Cameron, Charles Simonyi (billionaire twice traveled to the International Space Station). The company benefits from the services of Tom Jones, NASA and also specialist PhD in planetary science.
